Sean first came to Dungeness as a bird watcher in 1978. He has been living in the area since 1981. He
ran a Heath Trap at Greatstone 1984-87 and then moved to Dungeness wherehe ran an MV light until
1997 when he moved to his present site in New Romney. To July 1997, 362 species of macro and 86
species of pyral were recorded. Best nights 31st July 1994 and 95 when 68 species of macro moths
recorded and 28 species of pyral on the latter date.

Purple Marbled (1992), Golden Twin-spot (1995), Ni Moth (1990) and Clifden Nonpareil (1990).
And pyrals:- Loxostege sticticalis (1994), Antigastra catalaunalis (1995) and Conobathra
tumidana (1996)
