Seen every year. Widely but patchily distributed across the whole area in open grassland habitat. More
common at Dungeness and the shingle areas. KA noted 'hundreds' at Lade in July 03. In 2001 KR noted
120 pupal cases in a 300 metre stretch at Dungeness. In 2002 there were only 7 in the same area. The
foodplant had been curtailed by invasive 'grass' species which are changing the shingle habitat.
No comprehensive data has been collected on this day flying species. KA recorded two dates at trap in
July 04.
