To the late nineties identification was based on hind-wing features not now considered reliable. Positive
records based on larva and male genitalia; tridens recorded from Dungeness and New Romney and psi
from Lydd, Littlestone and New Romney. Dagger sp recorded every year, in small numbers, with varying
frequency from all areas, though scarce on the shingle. Combined they are the 73rd most commonly
occurring moth in the area. Data from BB shows a decreasing trend in the number recorded. Exceeded
the 40 dates at one trap-site in 96 and 03 and at two sites in 02.

Earliest date. 9th April (02). Latest date. 12th October (95). Max. 11 at Greatstone in July 89 and
     Littlestone in June 02.
