    Greatstone .. Keith had Pearly Underwing in Lydd ..
    9th. The Tebbs had The Fern (p) at New Romney .. Small Phoenix (p) at Greatstone and in Lydd ..
    Peach Blossom (p) in Lydd ..
    8th. Wind eased off .. good selection at the Dungeness traps .. Dorothy had 19 and Keith 24 species ..
    not so good inland .. nothing of note .. Dorothy had 288 Tawny Shears, Waved Umber (p) ..
    7th. Spruce Carpet (p) at Dungeness .. few comments about scarcity of moths .. Dorothy doing quite well ..
    she had 120 Tawny Shears (4th) and has been getting 60 or so each night but still a very limited selection,
    wind has been stiff from the east or south east, sheltered traps doing slightly better ..
    5th. Light Feathered Rustic (p) at Dungeness ..
    3rd. Dorothy had Least Black Arches (p), Toadflax Brocade (p) and Yellow Belle (p) ..
    1st. Dorothy had Northern Drab (p) at Dungeness .. few Brindled Pug over the area ..

     January
    12th.  Pale Brindled Beauty, Satellite and Dark Chestnut at Dungeness ..
    21st.  Few Winter Moths to outside house lights the last couple of weeks .. weather mostly wet and 
             windy though quite mild ..
    29th. Dorothy had Double-striped pug and Satellite at Dungeness ..

     February
    1st. Ted had Early Grey in Lydd ..
    4th. The Tebbs had Common Quaker at New Romney ..
    6th-8th. Few moths at Dungeness .. Common Quaker, Hebrew Character, Satellite, Chestnut and
    Pale B Beauty ..
    23rd. First night for a while its been mild overnight .. Hebrew and Yellow-horned (p) at Dungeness ..
    24th. Hebrew, Yellow-horned and Clouded Drab at Dungeness ..
    28th. 3 Yellow-horned, a few Clouded Drab and Hebrew, Small and Common Quaker, Oak Beauty (p)
    at Dungeness ..

    March
   6th. Small showing of quakers the last few mild nights .. mostly at Dungeness, very little inland .. Red
   Chestnut (p) at Dungeness 5th and 6th .. March turned out to be either wet, windy and cold or not windy
   and very cold .. Dorothy, Richard and Keith ran most of the month ..a few 'quakers' most days .. max. 21
   Hebrew at Dorothy's on 21st .. sprinkling of Lead-coloured Drab and Powdered Quaker from 27th .. Oak
   Beauty 14th, 26th, 27th .. Engrailed in Lydd 27th .. Early Thorn Dungeness 30th, 31st .. DSG at
   Greatstone 8th, 26th, Dungeness 27th ..

     April
   1st. Mild overnight .. few 'quakers' to the traps .. 9 Powdered Quaker at Dungeness.
   2nd. Today (3rd) has been very warm and spring like .. willow warblers singing in the gardens, swallows
   overhead, several species of butterfly cavorting .. last night saw good numbers of 'quakers' mostly common
   and powdered to the traps that were running ..
   18th. Since the third we have had a covering of snow .. lots of cold easterly weather and on the odd nights
   when conditions have seemed right there have been precious few moths of half a dozen species or so .. 
   27th. Few more species appearing from 21st .. Flame Shoulder, Brimstone, Tawny Shears, Knotgrass,
   Muslin, Pale and Pebble Prominent .. Dorothy had Dark Sword Grass .. Scarce Chocolate Tip (p) and
   Brindled Pug (p) in Lydd last night ..
